Sauna and ice swimming

✨ On Friday of Vuju Week, it’s time to relax in the warmth og a traditonal Finnish sauna and ice swim! ✨

Amidst all the Vuju Week excitement, it's important to take a moment to unwind and recover from Thursday's sitz. That's why we're heading to Suolijärvi Sauna together on Friday to enjoy the warmth of the sauna and a refreshing dip in the ice-cold lake! 🧖‍♀️❄️ Expect a relaxed evening with great company – the perfect way to recharge before Saturday's annual ball! And even better, thanks to sponsorship from Loimu, the event will cost only 5€ per person! 💜

Biopsi has reserved two saunas for us: the large sauna, which accommodates approximately 15 people, and the new sauna, which accommodates approximately 12 people. The sauna sessions will start at slightly different times, so participants will be divided into two groups. The new sauna will be available from 18:35 to 19:35, and the large sauna from 18:45 to 19:45. During the overlapping period, both saunas will be available for everyone to use. Please note, however, that the next group of sauna-goers will arrive immediately after our booking ends, so everyone must leave the sauna when their allocated session finishes. 💜

Remember to bring your swimsuit, towel, footwear or socks, and something to drink! Swimming shoes designed for ice swimming are the best option when taking a dip in the freezing water. 🥶 There is no water tap near the sauna, but you can refill your water bottle at the Suolijärvi outdoor recreation centre, which also serves as our changing facility. It is located just over 100 metres from the sauna. The facilities include changing rooms, showers and toilets. Lockable compartments are available for valuables, and you can get a key for the lockable lockers in the changing rooms from the sauna attendant.

There is also a gas grill at the sauna, so feel free to bring your own sausages to grill if you'd like! 🌭 Please note that the grill cannot be used when the temperature drops below –10°C. This is an alcohol-free event.
